What is in my art studio?

Most artist studios are places of curiosity because, after all, we are inquisitive individuals.

I have the usual assortment of paints, an excess of brushes, canvases and boards for painting, sandpaper, tape, rags, and paper.

Now, onto the exciting and distinctive things I own. Indeed, a piano. I play it for my own enjoyment and sing completely off-key.

I need to turn on my aromatherapy diffuser with uplifting essential oils to scent the room.

I enjoy playing music ranging from jazz and classical to pop to create the right atmosphere.

The studio is ready for some activity, so I begin working on yesterday's painting and finish a small one alongside it.

Life is always vibrant in this art studio, from the easel to the yoga mat.

Somedays I can get into the flow of the paintings and other days a few distraction may happen. More recently I had Ollie, our aussie shepherd grandfur visit and stay. Now I must say the dog is one smart dog. She appears to like being in the studio and is not put off by the smells. I love taking Ollie out for a walk and then come back in to the warmth of the studio for another session. Be cautious while painting to change your positions and occasionally stretch. Yes, below is my downward dog pose, and even Ollie can do it.

Cheers,

Laurie
